This is a loose interpretation of a traditional Japanese karuma dansu, originally designed to quickly get valuables out of a home in case of a fire. They were outlawed after a massive fire in the city of Edo, now Tokyo. The streets, congested with karuma dansu, trapped the residents in the narrow streets of the city. Over half of the population perished.
